WWE 2K20: 10 Reasons To Be Worried

7. 2K Didn't Listen To GM Mode Cries?

Granted, there's still time for 2K to release a drool-worthy YouTube video that has older series fans using SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 manuals to dry their tears. The much-wanted General Manager Mode is like the franchise holy grail these days. Now fans have the female integration and focus they wanted, attention will turn to GM.

Don't hold your breath.

It appears 2K aren't interested, because they think the crummy Universe Mode is enough. To them, Universe fills the hole vacated by GM years ago, but that's simply not true. As much as running your own WWE sandbox can be fun, Universe lacks the complete control and 'God' like authority GM did back in the day before THQ did away with it.

Anyone who misses the micro-management sim feel of GM will be p*ssed to think that 2K don't view it with the same affection. It wasn't their creation, so maybe they're going all Vinnie Mac on the thing and thinking Universe (which was their doing) is vastly superior.
