WWE 2K20: 10 Tiny Details 2K Must Add
10. Injury Return Storylines
Universe Mode lovers, your time is now. Let's start off with three different improvements 2K could make to its WWE sandbox.
Right now, injuries in Universe are incredibly flawed and held back by a system that doesn't seem realistic at all; whenever a superstar gets hurt in 2K19, they sit on the sidelines for a pre-determined period of time before returning as though nothing happened. No revenge storylines, no grand comeback, nothing.
This is a missed opportunity for 2K. Say Braun Strowman injures Sami Zayn by tossing him through one of the Elimination Chamber pods, therefore ruining his chances of working WrestleMania. When he came back, Zayn should be furious about what happened. At the very least, his return should be part of a branching story.
That's how the real-life product works. When Seth Rollins returned from an extended period on the sidelines in 2016, he openly discussed how hard missing 'Mania was. By proxy, that painful journey became part of his narrative, and it wouldn't be hard to implement that with Universe characters in 2K20.
