WWE 2K20: 7 Things It Does BETTER Than 2K19

6. Universe Mode Cutscenes

Your interest in this one will depend on how much thinly-stacked sandbox fun you can stomach. Universe Mode, in small doses, can be a laugh, and the cutscene-based feuds are a real throwback. That illusion of WWE-style storytelling, however, was spoiled in 2K19 when Charlotte Flair was stomping about the place like Braun Strowman.

There was a reason for this: 2K hired male motion capture artists to do all the scenes. That left female characters walking like the worst RuPaul contestants one could imagine, and it hardly represented women's wrestling fairly. Knowing this, 2K went to work and diligently reshot the best 50 cutscenes with female mo-cappers.

Finally, female feuds look authentic rather than like everyone forgot to hit the toilet pre-match.

Elsewhere, Universe generally has more cutscenes than before. Other improvements include bigger match cards and the ability to string together more than three rivalries per show.
