WWE 2K20: 7 Things It Does BETTER Than 2K19
4. Towers
Speaking of masochists, only a crackpot would've enjoyed running through every single Tower available in 2K19. It was a slog, deliberately so at times, and didn't exactly lend itself to providing a thrilling gameplay experience. Having a few bells and whistles in there to break up the action between matches would've been nice.
Thank God for Roman Reigns then.
His story-based Tower in 2K20 is a nice change of pace, and it paves the way for a future this previously-rather-dull mode can be proud of. Seeing Reigns appear as a talking head and narrate players through some of his bigger matches gives the whole thing a mini-Showcase feel that now makes 2K19's Towers feel redundant.
If 2K can continue weaving some of these story-driven Towers into the game and don't think a gold version of AJ Styles is enough, then they could rescue the mode from creative hell and stop it from being wasted potential.
