Rumour: In that oh-so-newsworthy leaked document that sent fans into overdrive, it was said that 2K would be bringing back the much-wanted General Manager Mode of old and tinkering with it. 'MyGM' was the new working title, which fits in with 2K's NBA series and the in-depth management mode that franchise offers.

This would be the first time a WWE game has had this mode since SmackDown vs. Raw 2008.

Chances Of It Being True: Yukes' senior vice president and producer Hiromi Furuta said in a statement this past May that the development team at 2K had to start producing better results. Her scathing criticism of recent games acted as a warning shot to 2K, and it makes 2K20 even more important to their future with the WWE license.

It's time they started giving hardcore fans what they really want, and that includes GM Mode.

Having control over a WWE world is part of the flimsy Universe Mode, but it's hollow and unsatisfying. The beauty of GM Mode (or 'MyGM') is that it felt like we were truly in charge, and there were repercussions for failure if things didn't go smoothly. Fans want to play GM again properly, and we'd be surprised if 2K didn't deliver.
