WWE 2K21: 10 Most Wanted New Features

6. Wrestling History Mode

The Showcase idea needs a bit of spring cleaning itself.

Whilst it is great to look back through isolated examples like Daniel Bryan's career and the evolution of women's wrestling under WWE's umbrella, there's an awful lot of history left by the wayside. WWE has such a rich and storied past that's begging to be explored in greater depth.

A 'Wrestling History' mode could borrow the same 'On This Day' setup mentioned in the prior entry or strive for something totally different by aligning itself with the WWE Network. There's never really been any integration between 2K's series and WWE's streaming service, and it's confusing why not when there's so much lore on there.

This could be a valuable resource that encourages younger fans to dive headfirst into old Network content. It'd also give 2K a good excuse to bring back more Legends to the roster than 2K20 had. That wing of the character select screens felt a bit barren last year.
