WWE 2K22: 10 New Things You Need To Know About
3. New Camera Angles
Finally! Kevin Dunn would be proud!
The fact that 2K stick to the standard hard cam angle for matches is fine for 70-80% of the things, but this is a video game - they've got some leeway to go wild with the viewpoints without anybody complaining. Ye olde "camera cuts" were always nice, and they just got better.
2K's own pitch notes were real specific about "never before seen camera angles" that'll help shake things up match-to-match. They'll likely linger on a zoomed-in view after hitting signatures/finishers (like with The Undertaker's Chokeslam on Robert Roode in the pic above), and they'll get much closer to characters during entrances.
Footage of Bayley's entrance showed off that new style brilliantly. She stared down the camera as it zoomed in for a better shot, then aggressively marched past as the angle focused on fans leaping up and down at ringside.
This improved atmosphere could be really, really exciting.
