4. GM Mode Will Have Microtransactions

Blergh.

The word "microtransactions" always leaves a sour taste in the mouths of gamers, and the thought that 2K would dare to include any in a mode fans have clamoured for is pretty sh*tty. GM Mode hasn't been seen since 2007's SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, but has topped wishlists for every successive game ever since.

Sadly, some negative Nancy's on Twitter firmly believe that 2K won't be able to resist modern gaming annoyances by excluding pay-to-win elements from the feature's grand return. That could boil down to buying ratings wins or longer contracts for coveted wrestlers. Or, maybe it'll mean paying to use already-unlocked legends in the mode.

If this makes you shudder, then you're probs the kind of player who has yearned to see GM Mode make a comeback for the best part of 15 years. Surely 2K wouldn't be stupid enough to follow up 2K20's disaster with more fan-baiting like this?
