WWE 2K22: 10 Rumours You Need To Know
5. Trailer Graphics Are In-Game
Older fans will recall how jaw-dropping the intro to SmackDown: Just Bring It was on PS2. Seeing Steve Austin stick The Rock with a Stunner, Kurt Angle blast fools with an Angle Slam and Triple H hit his Pedigree on The Undertaker got the adrenaline flowing. Animation was crisp and the game was a noticeable leap up in quality from the PS1 days.
Then peeps played a match and that intro wasn't replicated.
That's always a worry with game trailers, to be fair. The flashy 2K22 cinematic that WWE debuted at WrestleMania 37 got social media talking. The thing is, this could be representative of in-game quality; 2K's own trailer ran a crawler that said, "gameplay footage captured from a work-in-progress build".
That's promising.
Rey Mysterio's 619 on Cesaro was a joy to behold, so fans are praying that the final product does that trailer justice. Being honest, it should, especially when 2K has had a little longer to work on things.
