WWE 2K22: 10 Things They Must Get Right
7. DLC Worth Buying
Need evidence? Here it is.
Some of the DLC packs 2K released for 2K20 tinkered with the clothing/hair layers on top of the base character models and added some new gimmickry. So, if 2K can turn Lana into 'Dosvetanya' for Southpaw Regional Wrestling, then they can make sure that Sheamus has the correct haircut in the game.
DLC generally has to become a little more enticing too. Lazily restructuring some fantasy wardrobes isn't enough (fans have the aforementioned Community Creations for that), and neither is the range of content seen in the action-figure line-esque 'Wasteland Warriors' or 'Bump In The Night' add ons.
More substantial packs focused on specific characters, time periods in wrestling history or interesting rewrites of WWE television are needed. Sure, the bulk of 2K20's DLC was aimed at young children, but it was all very tame at times and didn't nourish the game's longevity.
