WWE 2K22: 10 Things They Must Get Right

5. WWE's Lively Presentation

Other sports-based titles like FIFA, Madden and NBA 2K have flaws of their own, but they do a much better job of depicting natural event atmosphere than WWE's series does. Honestly, fire up a match on 2K20 for any World Title, choose WrestleMania as the host venue and watch as sock-puppet fans greet each wrestler.

It's like a nightmare realm where fans troll everyone.

Despite the fact some WWE shows take place in front of crowds that wouldn't look out of place at a funeral procession, most live audiences are there to shout, cheer, boo, chant and have themselves some fun. That rarely comes across in 2K's games - their crowds occasionally add less ambience than 'Mania 36 had.

2K are gonna' have to fix this. Crowds should be more organic, and someone needs to pop through a memo that reads, "Attention 2K: It's totally fine if the front row sits down every now and then". Seeing them pop hard for Zack Ryder vs. Curtis Axel is just weird.
