WWE 2K22: 10 Things We Already Know
6. Hair Is A Big Focus
Huzzah!
Gilmore pretty much admitted that some of the CAW tools in recent 2K games have been sh*t. He said that the team are making a concerted effort to streamline the creation engine so that everyone can make their Create-A-Wrestlers look like the better pre-rendered WWE stars already in the game.
In order to achieve this, VC has been working hard to sell 2K on ditching old assets for things like hair. A new mechanic for hair is actually near the top of the list, which is fairly mad when one thinks about it; 2K has been recycling the same hair animations for almost a decade now, and some of them even existed before that when THQ were in charge too.
2K love the thought of a system that "feels like magic to use", and they're planning a suite crammed full of new hairstyles and components that make the wrestlers fans create look more human. This is a basic requirement of the CAW engine, and it really should've been fixed years ago.
