WWE 2K22 Review: 4 Ups & 4 Downs

4. UP - Create-A... Anything!

WWE 2K22
2K Games

Ok, so I know it seems like milking a dead horse at this point (what do you mean that's not the expression?) but the "Create-A" modes on offer in the WWE2K games are something else, and you can literally spend hours customizing your characters from head to toe, before then diving into their movesets and entrances.

With the new graphical overhaul comes a slew of new options all of which look far superior to anything we've seen prior. It's rare for a customization suite to leave me feeling lost but that's exactly where I found myself with 2K22, just looking upon reams and reams of choices and wanting all of them for my current monster mash of a wrestler. Thankfully there's even a customization wizard option that streamlines things for those looking to get into the action as quickly as possible.

And trust me you can create some true "faces for radio" with this mode, meaning there's a laugh and a half just waiting to be explored.

Add to this the create an entrance that looks even slicker than ever, a brilliant create a title mode and you really do start to feel like the reigns are being given over to the player to toy around with. Experimentation has always been the lifeblood of this franchise and it's excellent to see the devs have delivered in full with this.

I'm sure that some will find limitations with the modes in due course but for making a group of misfits it's never been easier or looked better.
