7. Authentic Presentation

Imagine WWE's real-life audiences (remember those?) acted anything like they do in-game. These cardboard cutout lookalikes leap around like idiots for absolutely everything that happens; Drew McIntyre hits a Claymore Kick, they pop. Charlotte Flair locks on a submission, they jump around daft. Apollo Crews pauses to wipe sweat from his brow, they act like it's the most entertaining thing ever.

That needs work, and so does the overall authenticity of 2K22's presentation. Crowds must be a little less...jumpy, and the commentary teams have to stop phoning in their lines like they'd rather be doing anything else. It's about time this series got some damn improvements to these elements.

They suck.

WWE events, pre and hopefully post-pandemic, are lively, bursting with colour, and have natural peaks and troughs. They're not attended by people who supped eight scoops of pre-workout before buying their tickets, or announcers who can't be arsed to sound interested.
