WWE 2K23: 10 Improvements Fans Demand
8. Commentary Team Variation
Years (if not decades) of whining about p*ss poor commentary in WWE video games wasn't totally put to bed in 2K22, but the narration was improved. Generally, the announce trio of Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton sound less like they'd rather be doing anything else than laying down lines for the thing.
That's an improvement, but 2K23 could take things up a notch.
Cole and energetic hype man Pat McAfee would be this writer's pick if they can only include one team - McAfee's 'child on Christmas morning' excitement would add to the overall presentation, if nothing else. If 2K's sound department has more licence to expand, then it'd be great to see different announcers for each show.
Raw, SmackDown and NXT showcase unique crews in real-life WWE, so it's hardly unrealistic to expect something similar from this series. Doing some voiceover work for 2K23 would help Raw anchor Jimmy Smith along too.
