There was a lot of fun to be had in 2K22's General Manager mode, but pesky algorithms turned WWE overseer Triple H (how was that for foreboding?) into somebody who hated certain match combos and only wanted veeeeery specific gimmick bouts on your shows.
In short, it wasn't quite as freeing or expressive as it should've been. Come 2K23, the developers will know they have to open things up a bit more and give gamers the freedom to create a WWE product that lives or dies by broad brush stroke decisions. Y'know, like the old GM Mode did.
2K will take feedback into account here, and they might even dip back into the archives by studying what made SmackDown vs. Raw 2008's mode so cherished. Tack on some more of that with the premise they had in 2K22 and...well, you'll have one hell of a single player mode folks can get lost in.
