WWE 2K23: 10 Things You NEED To Do First

2. A Superstar-Focused Universe Save

The 2K staffer who stuck a hand up during meetings and suggested being able to play as just one superstar in Universe deserves a pay rise. That was a top idea, because it brings Universe closer in line with those aforementioned WWE star-centric story modes of yesteryear, and makes the thing less dizzying for newcomers.

You can still micro-manage every aspect of the product if you like though. That choice is sweet, but it's smart to start Universe out by picking a fave and running through a few months with them first. That way, you'll be able to live some of the story mechanics firsthand, and maybe win a few titles along the way.

Here's an example: This writer picked Rhea Ripley, and ended up winning the Raw Women's Title. That led to a rivalry vs. Becky Lynch and the ability to pre-load in some story direction before each segment involving them.

What an addition that is too, by the way.
