Would this be tricky? Hmm, yeah, but it's not an impossibility just because Dustin Rhodes is currently contracted to AEW. 2K wouldn't be putting Dustin in the game - they'd be crafting a picture-perfect version of his iconic Goldust gimmick and giving nostalgia-lovers everywhere something to shout about.
This also makes sense due to Cody's jump over to WWE. Having him, Dustin and...a certain somebody else (more on that later) in WWE 2K23 sounds fab. Surely, surely, someone at 2K could reach out and broker this deal with Rhodes/Tony Khan ahead of launch.
Goldust would be a asset on the legends roster.
