WWE 2K23: 8 Gameplay Details You Need To Know
5. Created Superstars Can Be Imported Into MyRISE
2K has seen mixed results with introducing a career mode, first implemented in WWE 2K15. Between lacklustre storytelling and ludicrously terrible voice acting, the mode often came under scrutiny from players.
WWE 2K22's version of the mode, dubbed MyRISE, appeared to fix those qualms, being generally well-received. Though it predominantly used the same methods, it felt more like logical career progression, rather than nonsensical forced angles.
Per 2K's press release, MyRISE will work the same in WWE 2K23, though with one key change; created characters can now be imported directly into the mode. You were previously unable to utilise MyRISE creations in any other mode, having to create them when first booting up the mode. Still a recently-revealed detail, there's no current word on if limitations will be placed when importing - MyRISE creations typically have a bare-bones selection to choose from, unlocking new items as you progress through your digitised WWE career.
This, it seems, is the only change made to the mode. MyRISE will still feature specific male and female storylines, and the ability to choose which direction your career goes in, with the aforementioned reworked story system ideally creating more captivating in-game storylines.
