WWE 2K23: 8 Gameplay Details You Need To Know
4. More Variety In MyGM
Reintroducing MyGM to the franchise was a major coup for WWE and 2K with WWE 2K22's release last March - but it wasn't enough.
Gone were the halcyon days of the SmackDown vs. Raw staple and in its place was an inherently basic ripoff. It still played well and had the potential to be a provocative game mode but compared to its predecessor, it was abhorrent.
WWE 2K23 looks to redeem some of those wrongs, with some desired mode changes making their way into the game. This includes expanded match cards, more match stipulations, and the ability to play multiple seasons, amongst other show options. There's also the underlying promise of having "more GMs to choose from", though definitive names are yet to be released. WWE 2K22 featured five General Manager options - William Regal, Adam Pearce, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Sonya Deville - as well as the option to create your own custom GM.
Unfortunately, MyGM remains a local mode in WWE 2K23, unplayable with friends online. Per Sports Illustrated, it will have a maximum of four players at once for local co-op.
