What was that about the PC modding community? Above, you'll see a snazzy shot from someone's modded game that shows off "nWo LA". Yes, yes it is a New World Order spin off headed by LA Knight, but also stars heroes like Batista and John Cena for good measure.

The Lakers-inspired attire is awesome.

Freedom of choice and customisation has always been at the forefront of 2K's series, but there are limits. Universe Mode, whilst a laugh, doesn't quite let people craft their own stories from start to finish and then play them out. It's more of a soft on-rails experience, which is why many want to see 'Create-A-Story' come back.

Being honest, despite the rumours, it'd be a tad surprising if this was on the feature set for WWE 2K24. 2K surely would've made some noise about it by now, and maybe even teased it ahead of 22 January announcements.

Gamers are allowed to dream, to be fair.
