WWE 2K24: 10 Things You NEED To Know Before You Buy
8. The WrestleMania Showcase Isn’t Exhaustive
2K marketed this year’s Showcase as a “40 Years Of WrestleMania” mode. Technically, they’re right, but it’s 21 matches (and a little fantasy bonus) spread across the famous event’s 40-year span, not 40 fully-realised bouts. Most surely know this by now, but it’s worth mentioning for casual fans sitting on the fence about buying.
That could, in theory, be a deal breaker.
It's worth hopping online to Google search the full list of matches if you're curious and/or concerned about some old favourites being left on the cutting room floor. Be warned that there are some pesky omissions too. There's no room for current AEW stars like Bryan Danielson (as Bryan Daniel from 'Mania XXX), for example.
Few would've been expecting that anyway, but it's always worth mentioning just to avoid disappointment. On the whole, 2K put together some really nice set pieces here. Don't go in expecting an exhaustive 40-match romp through history though!
