Reverse, dodge, and block: these are the three main reversal types in WWE 2K games, and now, they are all mapped to one button.

Previously, reversing and blocking could be executed by pressing (holding to block) the Y face button on Xbox or the triangle button on PlayStation, while dodging was done by pressing the right shoulder button. Now, though, pressing (still holding if you want to block) the Y/triangle button will trigger all three reversing options, meaning that avoiding a wild punch from either of The Wild Samoans or evading a charging RKO-hopeful Randy Orton are now under the same controls.

The reversing system, which was rejigged for WWE 2K22's rebirth of the series, wasn't difficult to master, but streamlining the process will certainly be welcome news for many players. Details on how to break combos, which was previously done by timing the correct face button for the attack, remain scarce, though it is expected that this system will remain as is.
