8. PGR 5
I am a big fan of the Forza series, but I never found it to be anywhere near as fun as PGR, so I was quite sad when Bizarre Creations were snapped up by Activision and it seemed as though the series would be consigned to the scrap heap. However from the remains of Bizarre Creations, Lucid Games have arisen, founded by former members of the Bizarre management team and they are apparently going to be working on PGR 5. The PGR series is known for it's stunningly accurate recreations of famous cities from around the world and allowing gamers to screech around those usually busy streets in gloriously recreated super cars, I have many a happy memory of flying down Embankment in a Koneigsegg (but enough about my Sunday afternoon's). PGR 5 can bring back some of the fun to driving games which can be a little bit lacking in the Forza/Gran Turismo series, tuning your engine is all well and good but what I really want to do is perfect slide around a corner in Trafalgar Square or steal first place in a race which culminates in Times Square.
