Xbox One: 8 2018 Leaks & Rumors You Need To Know About

6. Age Of Empires IV Is A Long Way Off; Xbox One Port A Possibility

Microsoft surprise-announced at last year's Gamescom that storied RTS series Age of Empires is getting a fourth instalment following a thirteen-year hiatus, but the cinematic trailer wasn't accompanied by a release date or any indication of its current development status.

Klobrille's teasetastic leak-list-disguised-as-wishlist only mentions the strategy title in passing: "I would love to play AoE4 soon... But it's probably super early," leading to the conclusion that Relic's sequel is still in its early stages of development, but is there more to the statement than meets the eye?

Bear in mind, all of the rumours arise from Klobrille's claim that they managed to access the Xbox Live API SDK, so unless an Xbox One port is in the works, it being discovered there is suspicious, to say the least.

Real-time strategies have never performed well on consoles beyond a few exceptions. Halo Wars and its successor are two such examples, so there's at least a precedent for this becoming a reality.
