A video game console that operates entirely through cloud-based programming with no internal storage or disc-drive might fly right over the head of the average consumer.

Sure, that may sound insulting, but would your mum know what it is? Would she be able to work it?

These are accessibility issues that needs to be explained as plainly as possible - the Wii sold so incredibly well because even grandmother's could turn it on and go bowling. How many parents will buy it for Christmas, along with some physical games, only to realise on Xmas morning that the system doesn't work that way?

They're very real problems, and Microsoft will have to address these issues when marketing a cloud-based system.
