Xbox Scarlett: 5 Burning Questions Microsoft Must Answer
2. How Big Is The Internal Memory?
Microsoft could solve a lot of concerns with internet speeds, if the Scarlett Cloud launched with some internal memory.
Perhaps not a lot, maybe even just 200 GB, that way gamers could download 2-4 titles and keep them on the system for rainy days. Or for those with poor internet speeds who would rather have the cheaper system. If there isn't sufficient internal memory, the system will need to run spectacularly well on meandering internet connections.
It's unlikely this will be the case, it seems this is Microsoft's attempt at diving headfirst into the streaming world. After the failed reveal of the original Xbox One, Microsoft reverted back to a traditional games console. Now it seems the company's idea for averting such a disaster, is to launch two consoles to appease both types of gamer.
Additionally, word has it that Scarlett Cloud will be significantly cheaper than a traditional console, and therefore it's unlikely to feature any internal memory.
That would be a mistake.
