XCOM 2: 15 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do

5. Speed Up Running Animation

Want to speed up the running animation without the use of mods? Well, it's actually quite easy if you know what you're doing. Simply navigate to the following directory and change 'MaxUnitRunRate' to '2.0', and 'bUseRunRateOption' to 'true': XCOM 2\XComGame\Config\DefaultAnimation.ini If that makes absolutely no sense to you whatsoever, don't worry. Just follow those steps and you'll be given the option of slowing down and speeding up the running animation in the game's options. Why this wasn't just including by the developers in the first place, I have no idea. You can also reduce the game's slow-motion effect when firing by changing 'ReactionFireWorldSloMoRate' to '1.0'. Seeing as how these options should have been readily available anyway, they're good to know. It at least gives the options to make whatever changes you like, even you decide you like the game the way it is.
