When Breath Of The Wild was blown open at 2016's E3, the vast majority of action shown off took place on the Great Plateau, an isolated location where Link awakes from one-hundred years of slumber. It's a largely abandoned area, given over to nature, only populated by a single NPC named Old Man.

As amazing it all looked, fans couldn't help but become slightly uneasy at the fact there was no sign of civilised life. Many began fearing the game could end up falling into the open world trap of feeling totally empty.

But the most recent trailer casts aside those concerns, showing off a village filled with inhabitants, tending to crops and generally milling about. Oh, and there are Cuccos, too!

The village itself is rather enormous, with at least half a dozen homes and one central building situated at the base of a waterfall. Whoever lives there must be fairly important.
