8. Use Flame Arrows To Pre-Cook Meat

A lovely little nod to Minecraft, if you equip Flame Arrows or use a flame-imbued weapon of any type when striking any animal, it'll result in a flame-grilled version of the meat it would've dropped anyway.

These pieces can then be eaten for greater amounts of hearts, and it saves you from having to find a specific pot to cook in.

Shooting boars gets you thicker steak-like chunks, whereas flash-frying birds gets you a neat 'turkey drumstick'-style item instead. The former is what you want to focus on for the best return on hearts, though.
