Zelda: Link's Awakening - 10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit

3. No Photo Quest

Nintendo seem to have a bit of a problem with trimming games down these days with the Pokémon franchise suffering from the most fan outcry: Sword & Shield having a tiny Pokédex, no Battle Frontier in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire but the Zelda franchise has also seen some unnecessary cuts.

It's such a silly thing to complain about but Nintendo's decision to remove the photo sidequest from Link's Awakening pretty much exemplifies that they weren't interested in faithfully remaking the definitive version of the game: Link's Awakening DX.

There's probably even more stuff that got trimmed in favour of Trendy Game plushes and a reworked fishing game but the Switch itself actually has a camera snapshot button... It literally has the tool to do the job but that would be far too simple and, sadly, the quest was abandoned.

It wouldn't have taken much to keep this in the game and it just arouses suspicion as to what else fell by the wayside that no one has even noticed yet.
