Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Remaster - 7 Changes Fans Need To See
6. More Customisation Options
As Legend Of Zelda veteran and mastermind Eiji Aonuma made clear in the Nintendo Direct trailer, Skyward Sword laid the foundations for the vast collectible and customisation options found in Breath Of The Wild.
Compared to its open-world follow-up, Skyward Sword's customisation options seem comparatively limited, and even primitive. The game's small arsenal of weapons can be upgraded to a limited extent, Link can trade the bugs he collects for potions, some collectables are required for side quests and... that's about it.
While fans aren't expecting a Breath Of The Wild-style weapon system and complete customisation (after all, Skyward Sword HD is not a ground-up re-imagining), it would be great to see Nintendo push the customisation options a little further, even if this involves superficial changes like swapping out weapon or tunic colours.
The ability to make Link look ridiculous was one of the most joyfully light-hearted aspects of Breath Of The Wild, and being stuck with an identikit green-tunic Link throughout Skyward Sword's duration would feel like a step back.
