Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Remaster - 7 Changes Fans Need To See
3. More Side-Quests And Things To Do In The Sky
While Skyward Sword had an admittedly decent amount of side-quests to complete, its number has been completely dwarfed by the open world nature of Breath Of The Wild, in which side quests were every bit as compelling and vital as the game's main quest.
Moreover, compared to any previous Zelda entry 3D or otherwise, Skyward Sword is a noticeably linear game, with the player often having to follow a predetermined route with no room for variation or additional exploration.
The Sky, acting more like a Super Mario 64 or Sunshine-esque hub world than a true open expanse in the vein of Ocarina Of Time's (and its sequels' equivalent to) Hyrule Field, in particular looks bleak and empty, especially when compared with the limitless Hyrule of Breath Of The Wild.
And while it doesn't seem as though Nintendo will flesh out any of the game's ground areas, there is definitely the potential for the Sky to be a bit more populated with tasks to complete, characters and maybe even some more floating islands, without having any bearing on the main game.
Just give us something to do when we're flying around on our Loftwing, please!
