Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Remaster - 7 Changes Fans Need To See

4. Cut Down Fights With The Imprisoned

As well as its infamous text boxes slowing down gameplay, Skyward Sword was critically panned for its decision to have players fighting against The Imprisoned not once, not twice, but three separate times throughout the game's duration, making this already irritating fight repetitive beyond belief - especially considering that two of the fights against the boss occur in such close proximity to each other.

The last battle against The Imprisoned features one of the most unique set-pieces in any Zelda boss battle, but is firmly grounded in the formula established by the player's previous encounters with the beast.

While cutting down the amount of times players have to fight against The Imprisoned would admittedly require more of a gameplay shift than those seen in an average HD port, and certainly would change the game more drastically than any other suggestions proposed on this list, streamlining the latter half of the game would do wonders for Skyward Sword's pacing and replay appeal.

Shifting the story about so the Imprisoned only needs to be fought once (or certainly no more than twice) might be a drastic change, but is arguably necessary for Skyward Sword HD's success.

And this certainly isn't impossible. After all, Wind Waker HD's late game was significantly streamlined compared to its original clunky GameCube release.
