10 Horror Movie Monsters Who Encountered Something Way Worse

6. AMELIA - M3GAN 2.0 (2025)

While M3GAN 2.0 throws us a curveball by dicing its genre into equal parts action, comedy, and horror, it still manages to conform to one of the biggest sequel tropes of all. As popularised by the likes of Terminator 2 and Rocky III, M3GAN 2.0 brings back its original villain as an ally, and gives us a villain who is – at least on the surface – so much more powerful than the OG.

Rogue, and apparently self-aware, android AMELIA (Ivanna Sakhno) dominates scenes from the start of 2.0, infiltrating secret facilities, ambushing high-level functions, and just generally proving herself to be the next generation of nigh-unstoppable killer doll. And yet…

After much umming and ahhing on the part of the original android’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams), AMELIA’s monstrous predecessor M3GAN (Amie Donald/Jenna Davis) is granted a new body to take down this next-level threat. Even if we ignore the fact that AMELIA is not actually sentient, and just being controlled by nefarious cybersecurity expert Christian (Aristotle Athari), the new kid in town just can’t compare to her older sister.

With a fresh mindset and agent-level skillset, M3GAN goes to town on AMELIA, in a punishing dance-fight battle of brains and brawn that leaves one blown apart permanently by an EMP and the other living her best life in the digital world.
