10 Amazing Songs By Terrible Artists
6. In the End - Black Veil Brides
And...this is the moment where you start to get clapback from all of the goth fans out there. As much as their aesthetic is amazing, Black Veil Brides have never been the greatest band of all time, often feeling like the generic radio schlock with a semi-decent singer at the helm. Credit where it's due though...they did manage to score one mammoth chorus.
Towards the end of Wretched and Divine, Black Veil Brides created a monster singalong with In the End, which actually shows Andy Black flexing his vocal chops a bit more than usual. While a lot of the previous BVB songs felt like style over substance, this is the one time where they feel like they're actually writing songs rather than the faux darkness you'd get on their other records.
There are even a handful of decent guitar licks in here as well, with Jinxx and Jake Pitts putting their moments in just the right spots while not getting in the way of the rest of the band. The message isn't half bad either, talking about resistance and rising up against those who try to put you down. Even though this is probably the billionth time that Black Veil Brides have made this song, you can tell that the passion is here on this one.
