10 Iconic Music Festivals You Must Attend In 2020
1. Hellfest
“See you in Hell.” This is the message displayed to fans when they complete their purchase for France’s largest music festival, Hellfest. This alone will kick-start the excitement for those heading to this event, which can best be described as Disneyland for metal-heads.
Around 100,000 psychotic moshers descend on Clisson every summer for 5 days of chaos in the sun. Stages are split to genre with the two main ones being committed to the most popular rock and metal acts and the smaller ones being catered toward black metal, stoner metal, hardcore/punk, and so on.
With an entire pop-up village of shops and bars to saunter through, the iconic “Hellfest tree” and more fire than you can shake a stick from said tree at, this festival is as visually stunning as they come.
Booking performances from the likes of Motley Crue, Lynard Skynard, Cannibal Corpse, Dropkick Murphys, Kiss, ZZ Top, Refused, Napalm Death, Rammstein and Ghost will certainly have helped with this festival’s appeal as well.
Alas, for those of you who were lucky enough to successfully navigate the appalling Hellfest website before tickets sold out, or those who managed to source a ticket through a third party- see you in Hell.
