10 Perfect Rock Songs That Musicians Hate

8. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

As the '70s rode on, Queen were slowly but surely turning into one of the biggest bands in the world. Ever since A Night At the Opera became one of the most pristine albums of the modern age, these rock monarchs were proud to take their sound in any direction, from showtunes to full on metallic rock. With massive fame comes a few too many parties though, and it took the sensible guitarist to take exception on the Jazz album.

Granted, Queen always acted like a democracy in the studio. Though everything was very professional, the writer of the song always managed to get his way and make the record that they wanted to make. And Freddie Mercury did get his wish on Don't Stop Me Now, going for broke on the song with the kind of bombast that could make for a great hard rock musical.

The problem here had to do with the lyrics though, which May thought were endorsing the hedonistic lifestyle a little more than he could stomach. Then again, Freddie was notorious for his partying ways at the time, so this might have been a case of Brian just trying to look out for his friend in whatever way he knew how. For the time being though, this was one hell of a good time that didn't show any signs of slowing down.
