15 Hilariously Awful Songs Released In The Name Of Charity

1. David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing In The Street

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G4jnaznUoQ It should have been brilliant. The frontman of one of the most iconic rock 'n' roll bands of all time, and rock's chameleon-of-a-man joining forces for a cover of a 60's classic. Unfortunately, David Bowie & Mick Jagger's Dancing In The Street is not just one of the most hilariously awful charity songs of all time; it's one of the most hilariously awful singles of all time, with a video that's even worse. The two idols recorded the track together to be released in time for Live Aid, and originally planned to perform it at the event, with Bowie in London and Jagger in Philadelphia. Technical issues meant this wasn't possible (perhaps they would have helped) however the song went on to top the UK charts for four weeks, with all proceeds going to charity, of course! The whole video is played during an episode of Family Guy, where Peter Griffin calls it "the gayest music video of all time."
