Red Hot Chili Peppers: Every Unlimited Love Song Ranked Worst To Best

10. Bastard Of Light

During Frusciante's fallow years from the Chili Peppers, he did a deep dive into electronic dance music. His most obscure and experimental endeavours were almost impenetrable to someone who's not an avid fan, while his more refined exploration into breakbeat, took the form of fairly accessible tracks like Brand E.

For the most part, Frusciante puts aside his penchant for experimental electronica on Unlimited Love. But the odd synthesiser does make it into the mix. Bastard Of The Light opens up with an ominous synth line, that sounds like a rejected submission for the Stranger Things soundtrack.

But pretty soon the track dives into a classically, soothing Chilis melody. You're surprised again with a grungy breakdown that hears Kiedis emulate his younger self, during the Blood Sugar Sex Magik days.
