10 Biggest Lies On Online Dating Profiles

9. My Family Is The Most Important Thing In My Life

First off, everyone loves their family. They may also simultaneously hate them but, unless they've committed some sort of unforgivable offense, they're still family and you have to love them because they're the only family you're going to get. So don't act as if you're devotion to your family is this revelatory thing. Second of all, everyone hates their in-laws, meaning, strange as it may sound, someone caring for their family to such a degree can be a red flag. If you're going to be a significant part of their lives, it means their family will be a significant part of yours, for better or for worse. Now, to be honest, I liked my girlfriends' families, but they also weren't a regular fixture in my life. I can barely stand spending an extended period of time with my own family, let alone someone else's. Plus, what if you don't get along, as is often the case? Chances are, that'll be a deal breaker and that it'll be a long time before these girls find someone who they and their families can both accept. To sum up, loving your family is fine, just don't demand others love them too.
