10 London Pubs You Need To Drink In Before You Die

8. Auld Shillelagh

Where: Stoke Newington Church Street What: Lively Irish pub With key features including a nice beer garden, big-screen football and lots of Guinness, the Auld Shillelagh might not seem like much of significance at first glance. It's all about the atmosphere at the Shillelagh though, one of the few proper Irish pubs in London - O'Neills this ain't. The Shillelagh has the enviable reputation of serving the best Guinness in the city, an accomplishment worthy in itself of acclaim. It's the extremely friendly, fun environment that really keeps bringing the punters back though. For those looking for a place to get some serious drinking done in a rowdy but welcoming place, the Auld Shillelagh pub is hard to beat.
