12 Things Ed Miliband Wants You To Forget

3. Miliband Didn't Know Who The Labour Candidate Was For The Council Leadership In Swindon... Yet He Is Supposed To Be Controlling His Party's Message

Miliband has a history of forgetting names of candidates from his own party - with the 2011 Scottish Labour leadership contest one example of this - and he repeated this unforgivable mistake in May 2014 during the local government elections. During an interview for BBC Radio Wiltshire, Miliband was forced to ask the presenter to "enlighten" him as to who the Labour leader in Swindon was. Not only that, but Miliband also then praised Swindon Labour leader Jim Grant for doing a "good job" with Swindon Borough Council - failing to realise that his party did not control the local government in the area. Clearly Miliband isn't as clued up on how his party is fairing regionally as he should be - and even if he isn't he should make sure he is properly briefed before going on air. Mistakes like that could prove extremely costly come May, that's for sure.
