Should you wish to impress anyone, then remind them than the Atlantic Ocean is much saltier than its Pacific counterpart. Just don't blame us if they look at you funny and decide they need better friends.

The Atlantic's heavier salt concentration has to do with melting ice from the Antarctic. In short, the ocean builds up freshwater reserves annually throughout Winter. Then, come Spring, that ice and snow starts to melt and melds with the existing water. Thus, the Atlantic has a high salt content for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Ocean has to rely on waters carried down by the Antarctic Circumpolar Current to get some salty residue. That comes from the Atlantic, which also doesn't mix easily with the Pacific, and so the former maintains most of the salt.
