14. Hearing Rumours That Emmanuel College Is Some Sort Of Cult

Aside from a bit of healthy rivalry between most of the schools, there's no West Side Story style turf war between rival gangs of school kids. If you're normal, you probably went to Joseph Swan or Lord Lawson or Thomas Hepburn. If you shop at Marks And Spencers, you probably went to Whickham. And if you find yourself pining for the days when you had to kneel on the stairs to prove your skirt covered your knees, or were ever suspended for canoodling in sight of the pastoral office, you went to Emmanuel College. Despite being privately funded, and making it onto the news a few times for allegations of teaching evolution, Emmanuel's stricter rules did allow students to blossom and go on to great fame and success in Liberty X. Or at least it did for Michelle Heaton.
