Universal Orlando Resort's Mardi Gras: Every Food Booth Reviewed

France

If you didn't know there was a France booth, you might end up missing it completely. This booth has been attached to the Central Park Crêpes and only sells one food item, the Bananas Foster Crème Brûlée Crepe.

The France booth does sell plenty of alcoholic beverages including a Grand Framboise Slush and different types of French wine.

At $11.99 the Bananas Foster Crème Brûlée Crepe wasn't the cheapest item at Mardi Gras, but the portion size was particularly big. We struggled to see how one person would be able to eat this by themselves.

This crepe was perfect for sharing and did taste exactly like described. If you love banana, caramel and crème brûlée you will love this dessert. The crepe itself was perfectly cooked and not rubbery.

If you and your fellow park goer have a sweet tooth, this dessert is something you should try.

The last stop on our tour of all the flavors of Mardi Gras took us to the home of waffles, Belgium.

As you might expect waffles were the two food options available for Belgium. There was the savoury option of Sweet & Savory Gouda & Onion Waffle priced at $8.99 and also a sweet option of Cookie Butter Liege Waffle for $7.99. We went for the sweeter option this occasion.

Admittedly we didn't have huge hopes for this item, expecting a run-of-the-mill sweet waffle. Instead, this quickly became one of our favourite dessert items.

The crystallised waffle wasn't too stiff and the Biscoff topping not too much. It was perfectly sweet and the portion size was ideal for individual eating or if you wanted to share a treat with your theme park buddy.

This waffle was great and gave the King Cake a run for its money as the best dessert at Mardi Gras.

If you are a foodie then a trip to Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavours of Carnaval should be an absolute must!

We were not disappointed with the food and like almost every item we tasted. For a theme park festival, we were also pleasantly surprised at some of the prices and the value for money that came with the food.

The Food and Beverage Gift Card is definitely something we would recommended. If you plan at eat at most of the food booths this will definitely save you money. If you load the card with $65 you actually get $75, meaning at least one item will cost you nothing! We confirmed and should you find yourself with any remaining balance, this can be used after Mardi Gras in any of the in park dining locations (just not counters attached to stores, such as the sweet treats section of the Universal Studios Store within the park).

Universal Orlando Resort stepped up their food offerings for Mardi Gras. We really wish it could be Mardi Gras all year round so we could get the King Cake any time we wanted!
