10 MMA Fighters With The Most Total Career Fights

2. Shannon Ritch - 146

Despite holding the dubious distinction of having the most losses in professional MMA history, Shannon 'The Cannon' Ritch has actually had something of a distinguished career.

Despite this, Ritch's record is punctuated with long losing streaks. Between June 2001 and July 2002 Ritch went 14 fights without a win. However, Ritch disputes his recognised MMA record, saying that many of his fights went undocumented and that his career actually spans back to 1991.

The Cannon fought twice in PRIDE, losing to Japanese legends Kazushi Sakuraba and Daisuke Nakamura both by submission in the first round.

Despite officially having 145 fights on his record, not a single one of the men that Ritch has defeated has a Wikipedia page.

In more recent years, the American has turned his attention to a different form of combat sports, fighting on bare-knuckle boxing cards in the UK.

Ritch has fared far better in pro wrestling, holding an undefeated record of one match and one win. As he won a Wrestlefanfest battle royale in 2007. This is fitting because Ritch has victory by sweet chin music in MMA.

Total MMA record: 58 wins, 84 losses, 4 no contests

Notable wins: Ray Elbe
