2. Any Room For Ander?

One player who is suffering from the injection of new midfielders to the squad is Ander Herrera. He started on the bench for the third successive game this season and wasn’t selected to come on to provide the killer third goal; being overlooked for Marouane Fellaini.

I personally feel he should be starting, either alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger or in the number 10 role behind Wayne Rooney. Herrera has an excellent understanding with fellow Spaniard Juan Mata which was evident in key games last season, and he has that killer pass in his locker to open up defences.

In my opinion he would help with the need for goals and may be able to keep Rooney up top without dropping deep all the time. A quandary for Louis van Gaal, but a nice one.
