3. Javier Hernandez
Wait. Hes already at Man United. How is he an alternative? Well, simply, because he is. RVP has spent much of his career as an out-and-out striker. Last year he was Arsenals main (some would say only) goal threat, and with Rooney guaranteed to play off RVP in a link-up type of position, Welbeck would be demoted to the bench, which would leave Hernandez where? He struggled with second-season-syndrome, usually a fancy way of saying he was good and then he went crap. Hes had a bunch of injuries, and no break which has seen him fall down the pecking order. However, with the success he had in his first season at United, we know that he has so much to offer. Had he been older, there could be rumblings that the Mexican would be moved on. But at just 24, Hernandez has a bright United career ahead of him. This season is key for him, you feel. Very much a fans favourite, he will suffer if RVP arrives.
