Ranking The Best Football Transfers In Europe During Summer 2019/20

14. Tanguy Ndombele - Tottenham

Despite having the likes of of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Eric Dier in their midfield, Tottenham have really felt the loss of Mousa Dembele. They haven't had a midfielder who can control the middle of the pitch consistently like the Belgian since they lost him at the beginning of last season.

However, Pochettino and co. have found a more than adequate replacement in 22-year old Tanguy Ndombele. While the France international might not be a household name like Luka Modric or Marco Verrati, that doesn't mean that he's not world class. All you need to do is take a look at his performances for Lyon in the Champions League and Ligue 1 to see that he's exactly what Tottenham need.

Much like Dembele, who was a formidable force in attack and defense, Ndombele can also bring the ball forward effectively and provide his defenders with the cover they may need. Spurs fans will be hoping he can give their team the last push required to earn them their first bit of silverware in years.
